The new metal bond in Venevsky MS-1 grinding rods consists of the following components:

copper, tin, diamond, plus a silicon carbide filler with a finer particle size than the diamond, and other components that enable active metal removal throughout the entire service life.

The metal bond is sintered at a higher temperature—650 degrees Celsius. The abrasive is then compacted using a high-pressure press.
